Although influenced by Pop Art, with its bold, eye-catching images and impersonal approach, at the core of Ty Joseph’s work is an intense desire to express individuality, elegance, and suggestive overtones. Working with vivid, distinct colors on large canvases, Ty infuses his sense of identity into each of his works with signature sweeps of L-shaped patterns. When viewed from a distance, these patterns create an illusion of unity that, upon closer inspection, reveal a much more complex, multi-faceted image, much like the idea of individuality itself.

Ty Joseph was born Tal Ezra Joseph in Hamburg, Germany, and grew up in Kfar Saba, Israel. After his service in the Israel Navy, he spent two years touring America as a musician before finding a true home in Los Angeles. In the past decade, he pursued his education, a career in real estate, and zestful nightlife before returning to his first love, art. While influenced by Pop Art, with its bold, eye-catching images, Ty’s work is also an intrinsic desire to express individuality, elegance, and social interactions by applying symbolic overtones. Working with vivid, distinct colors on large canvases, Ty infuses his sense of identity into each of his works with signature sweeps of L-shaped patterns. When viewed from a distance, these patterns create as illusion of unity that, upon closer inspection, reveal a much more complex, multi-faceted image, much like the idea of individuality itself. Ty lives and works from his residence in Hollywood, California.

Benaras, started flowing in his canvasses both through landscapes and human faces. Since 1995-96 his Benaras paintings started transforming. Initially his landscapes contained reflection of naturalness transformed through melancholic chiaroscuro. Gradually the naturalness started disintegrating into expressionistic structures. At a certain stage during 2004-05 some of these structures yielded into abstractions shedding all the links with naturalness. Then again the sign-symbols integrated into geometrical structures reflecting traces of original locations. About the Artist and his works : Born : Born in 1965. Tapas spent his childhood and early youth in the quiet idyllic environment of rural Bengal. The soothing lyrical landscape and the intrinsic mythical past within the rural life made a great impact in his inner being, which aroused in him love for beauty, spiritual in nature, making him contemplative and inward looking.
